Welcome to our Parish Religious Education!
Realizing the challenge to be the living witness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, our goal is to instruct the children in our parish family as a community of believers in the Catholic faith. As we all aware, parents are primary educators. Therefore, parents need to be involved at all levels in this great responsibility. We hope to provide this PSR program to help parents fulfill their obligations as primary educators of our Catholic faith.
All families need to register their children when attending classes. This is the only way our pastor and DRE can make sure all of the children in our parish are receiving religious education and preparing for their sacraments. One parent must be a registered member of St. Stanislaus and we need a copy of a Baptismal certificate for all new children.
Please fill the Registration Form out carefully, as we need all the information.
Attendance
In order for your child to receive the most benefit from the program, regular attendance is vital. An attendance report is kept on each child and those missing class will be asked to make up work. If the child has excessive absences a meeting will take place to discuss the situation. If a child misses too many classes, the student may be advised to repeat the grade level. Please inform the PSR office if you move or will no longer be attending the program.
ATTENDANCE AT MASS ON SUNDAYS AND HOLY DAYS OF OBLIGATION IS EXPECTED OF ALL STUDENTS. Participation in the sacramental life of the Church is the very heart of our faith. The Catholic teaching and training your child receives in the Parish School of Religion needs to be rooted in the parish worship at Mass.
Absence Procedures
If our child is unable to attend due to illness or family emergency, please inform his/her teacher to report the intended absence.
Teachers and the Religious Education Coordinator will review the attendance charts regularly and then call those students who are missing some classes without reporting.
Cancellation of Classes
Sometimes it is necessary to cancel classes due to inclement weather.
